Home Support Volunteer

Our Home Support volunteers are paired with a patient and visit them at home once a week, for up to three hours.  They may take them shopping or to medical appointments, go for a walk or drive together, or simply sit and have a chat over a cup of tea.

This role requires mandatory attendance of a three day training course, Disclosure and Barring Service clearance, and attendance of regular monthly supervision with Home Support Coordinator.

As this role, may require the volunteer to drive there are some additional driving checks, including a basic driving assessment.

The minimum age of this role is 21.
