Trustees for the Pond Meadow Academy Trust

 

Pond Meadow Academy is a school for about 100 children aged 3 to 19 with profound disabilities. It is a deeply caring educational environment where children are nurtured and stimulated by skilled and deciated staff.

 

A new trustee is sought to help with the Finance at the Academy.

 The Academy cares for and teaches pupils with complex, profound and medical needs, including those with autistic spectrum disorders.

 

 Skills needed: Financial acumen.

 

You can start as soon as you are considered to be suitable trustees; can undertake some induction and have secured the DBS clearance necessary when any volunteer is involved with young people.

 

 Time commitment : once a term, leading to the additional membership of a sub-committee – also meeting once a term - and the occasional extra meeting, as and when required. Time should also be available for reading and consideration of papers and appropriate governance training from time to time.

 

 

 Impact: Financial: You will contribute to the development of the pupils learning through the careful management of the Academy’s resources.

Expenses:

Reasonable expenses can be paid by agreement with the Governing Body.
