Friends of Cranleigh Library

Friends of Cranleigh Library

We are looking for anyone who is interested in promoting the Library in the community.

We need all sorts of different people, of any age and back ground to work with us in an informal setting.

Meetings are every second Tuesday of each month 6-7pm in the Library. New people are very welcomed. New ideas and initiatives are gladly received. It's very informal with tea provided.

Volunteers are only expected to do what they can or want to take part in. If you enjoy helping out on stalls at events for a hour or creating your own events. Enjoy gardening, are great with kids or just want to enjoy the company of others. This could a great opportunity.

If you are interested or have any questions please contact us by clicking on the 'sign up' button.

Mission Statement

We are an initiative formed to promote the Library in the community. We often take on roles the Library can't, making it more accessible to everyone, not just Library users.

We take part in most Cranleigh events, such as church fete, carnival, Cranleigh day. Also team up with the Library for there special events, craft days, special rhyme times etc.

We are looking to expand our role in other areas. For instance clearing the land in front of the Library, putting  in and maintaining  new plants. Starting a Junior version of the Friends. More children's events.
