Volunteer Youth Group Assistant

halow supports young adults aged 16+ with a learning disability to live independent lives and become more involved in their local community.

Description of the Role: 
As part of our Friday Night Youth Group, we require creative and enthusiastic volunteers who enjoys trying new activities. This role supports our young people to engage in a wide range of fun leisure activities which they may not have had the opportunity to participate in before. You will be required to support our young people to communicate and converse with others, encouraging them to develop their social skills by building new relationships. We explore a range of activities from arts & crafts, cooking, sports, board games and local trips out such as to the cinema.

DBS Check
Any person recruited to volunteer by halow must have an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this is paid for by halow.

Covid Safe working
Our volunteering opportunities are in a covid safe environment and we ask that all applicants are willing to take PCR tests weekly which will be provided by halow project.
