We particularly welcome applications from those who are underrepresented on our Board, including individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities and under 30’s.

We are keen to ensure that we have the right expertise across our Board to match The Charity’s future needs, and are looking for applicants with skills and experience in one of the following areas: Equality, diversity & inclusion, pharma and biotech, finance, safeguarding, digital commerce. They will be passionate about The Brain Tumour Charity’s vision, mission and values and will be an effective ambassador for the organisation.

They should be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to analyse information; use good, independent judgement and challenge constructively when necessary.
  • An excellent, confident and persuasive communicator.
  • A good sense of humour with the desire to be part of a high energy and dynamic organisation that often addresses difficult issues but is equally committed to having some fun doing it.
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen.
  • Experience at a senior level or previous experience of the third sector (desirable).
  • Experience of fundraising, particularly with major donors (desirable).
What difference will you make?

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role ensuring The Charity’s success and positively impacting the lives of those affected by brain tumours. This is an exciting time to join The Charity's board and support our future work, as we develop our next 5-year strategy.
