Grant Seeker/Writer

Skillway aims to motivate and build confidence in young people by teaching them practical skills allied to trades whilst nurturing their personal potential, sometimes for the first time. We work in harmony with their other learning to give them a feeling of success and an ability to achieve in a low pressure, nurturing environment.

What?

Grant applications to the County Council, the local Borough, charitable bodies and through the Community Foundation for Surrey are the most fruitful providers of funds, but also the most complex to access. We need a volunteer with the insight, administrative talents and wordsmith skills that could help us secure funds these vital funds.

Where & When?

Very flexible - most of this work can be done from home in your own time. We recommend visiting Skillway at our workshops in Godalming to understand what we do, meet our students, and be able to harness the power of our work to translate this into your applications.
