Come and join us on our Executive Committee
We would like to hear from those interested in joining our Executive Committee in particular.
We are looking for two types of individuals:
First, a lawyer or someone who has worked in a highly regulated environment, and who can therefore help us to navigate the legal and regulatory terrain appropriate to a sheltered housing provider.
Second, we would be keen to hear from those who bring experience of marketing and communications, to guide us to better spread the word about what a wonderful home we provide for residents.
No previous trustee experience is necessary, just an interest in our purpose and a willingness to contribute to our on-going success as part of a team of like-minded individuals.
Board meetings are held five times a year on Wednesday evenings, and the monthly time commitment is approximately six hours.
Mission Statement
Located in the heart of the village of Pirbright, Cunningham House offers a home to nine older independent individuals.
Part of the Abbeyfield Society, we exist to help those who have come to the stage in their lives when living alone becomes a daunting and isolating experience.
Cunningham House enables residents to maintain their independence in the comfort and privacy of their own ensuite room, with the opportunity to enjoy the company of others over delicious home cooked meals and social activities.
We have three paid members of staff, and a friendly and involved volunteers serving as committee members, gardeners and visitors.
