Citizens Advice Guildford

Volunteer Receptionists Needed - Mondays & Wednesdays

Citizens Advice Guildford are looking to recruit and train new receptionists.  As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients who approach our service in person at our office in central Guildford.  You will greet people when they arrive and find out what they need help with, assist them with registering with us and working closely with our team of advisers to ensure they are seen and moved forward.  You will also support advisers with basic admin including adding clients to our database and be responsible for maintaining the waiting room, updating noticeboards, replenishing stocks of leaflets and helping to make our waiting room and interview rooms welcoming spaces.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge and enjoys working with people.  We are currently looking for help on Mondays and Wednesday, ideally for the day (9:30am - 4pm) but we would consider a morning or afternoon session.  We provide comprehensive training and support as well as a very friendly working environment.  We will also cover your travel expenses.

Citizens Advice Guildford provide a free, independent and impartial advice service to the local community and last year helped almost 4,400 people with over 11,000 issues, gaining £3.4 million for our clients.  As well as helping people with the individual issues we also campaign for policy change at both a local and national level.

We are looking for people from all backgrounds with the aim of our volunteer team properly reflecting the community in which we work.  For more information and/or apply please click the ‘Fill in application’ button.
