Group Coordinator Camberley

Being a Group Coordinator for Contact the Elderly is a varied, fulfilling and enjoyable role.  Just a few hours a month from you can make all the difference of the lives to lonely older people.

The Camberley Coordinator will arrange the monthly outings, re-books the annual host schedule and is the main contact for the group's volunteer drivers and hosts.

The coordinator is also one of the drivers picking up and ccompanying 1 or 2 older guests to the monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties.

The coordinator welcomes new volunteers into the group, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.

Coordinators also meet and assess new older members prior to them joining the group.

You will be supported by your Regional Development Officer/National Volunteer Support Officer, who in turn liasises with the Contact the Elderly National Office.

Being a group coordinator means you spend a few hours each month organising the tea party.  This involves making sure the host knows how many will be attending, the drivers are aware of date, time and which older people they will be collecting and ensuring older members know who is collecting them.

On a yearly basis, you wil contact the group's hosts and pre book future tea parties, passing the schedule on to your group members.

 Skills-You need to be well organised & a driver.

         Good communication skills an advantage

Reasonable expenses are paid.

DBS checks will be undertaken.
