Trustees needed for Headway 'Dare To Dream'

Headway Surrey - Help us ‘Dare to Dream’

Role: Trustees

We are looking for enthusiastic people with an interest in the welfare of people with acquired brain injury (ABI) to take on the important role of Trustee to Headway Surrey.

Headway Surrey provides cognitive rehabilitation, support and services for those affected by brain injury in Surrey. Set up in 1985 and formally established in 1994, we are at an exciting moment in our history, with a new Chair starting in October 2019, celebrating 10 years in our HQ, and looking ahead to what we can aspire to achieve in the next 10 years. We are looking to recruit 2-3 new Trustees who can help us shape this evolving plan for the future to ensure that people living with acquired brain injury in Surrey have access to our expertise and services.

The Trustee role is a voluntary position and we are particularly interested in hearing from individuals that can help us ensure that our Board is as diverse as the local communities and clients that we serve. A full Trustee role description is available upon request.

We require that Trustees attend nine short early evening meetings per year at Headway House in north Guildford, in addition there are opportunities to visit events for clients or participate in fundraising events. Trustees are appointed for a five-year term of office and provided with a comprehensive induction and support programme.

If you would like to help make a difference to the lives of adults living with brain injuries, we would love to hear from you.

Application deadline: 17th Sept 2019, interviews 4th October
