We are next running a helpline training beginning on 7th October 2018, this training will run for 2 and a half months, with a combination of 2 full Sundays and 2 evening classroom sessions.

After the initial training, the commitment RASASC ask for is for 1 shift every 2 weeks, the shift will be 2 and a half hours and we also ask the volunteer to commit the 2nd Tuesday evening of every month for supervision.

The helpline is currently open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings 7:30-9:30pm.

The Helpline offers listening support for women and men who have experienced rape and/or sexual abuse, whether that is recent or historic.

We offer our volunteers a friendly and supportive environment, with supervision and the opportunities for ongoing training.

Skills and qualifications needed: to be friendly, helpful, flexible, committed, reliable and non-judgmental.
