Befriender at our Farnham / Haslemere Homes
The Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society has been providing high quality residential, nursing and sheltered care in Farnham and Haslemere for over twenty five years. The Society strives to ensure that all homes are warm and friendly with a ‘Home from Home’ feel.
We need volunteers in all our homes to spend time with our residents, chatting, helping with activities, serving tea & coffee, accompanying on walks, doctor, dentist or hospital visits. We need people to help them with computer skills especially since Christmas when some of our residents have now got tablets and need assistance in how to get the most out of them. We have outings every week during the summer and need volunteers to help accompany our residents, pushing their wheelchairs and also transport to get them there. We have a strong group of volunteers but always need new people to join us to keep our residents active in mind and body.
