Arthouse Unlimited (Godalming)

Business and Shop Assistant

With over 400 stockists internationally, collaborations with Lush, Fat Face and Oxfam,  a thriving online shop and high street presence the small team here at ARTHOUSE Meath is incredibly busy – making it a very vibrant and exciting place to be right now. As we continue to grow at speed, always aiming to stay ahead of the trends, we are looking for volunteers to join the flourishing team.

We have an exciting opportunity for those who are looking for volunteering opportunities over the summer and beyond into the busy Christmas period (which starts from September here!) who can bring their fresh skills and friendly faces to the join the ever growing social enterprise. We are looking for volunteers who would be able to:

  • Assist in the shop with opportunities to work alongside the artists in the shop environment.
  • Assist with co-ordinating and packing online and trade orders.
  • Take up opportunities to attend trade shows and other events.
  • Assist the marketing team in their mission to spread the word.
  • Lots of other things besides. There's never a shortage of tasks or new areas of development!

The volunteer opportunities are extremely flexible so whether it was a couple of hours a week or a few days we would love to hear from you. It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills (we will provide training on the till system!) and meet lots of new people.

Here’s a lovely testimonial from one of our current volunteers:

“It’s all about making the guys feel part of life! The best thing about volunteering is working with the amazing team. There is never a dull moment as there are so many different personalities here. All the staff are sharing and friendly too. I’ve learnt so much being here. It’s all about being part of the community.

Mission Statement

ARTHOUSE Meath is a collective of artists living with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities all of whom require varying levels of support. The artists work alongside instructors to create artworks which are developed into designer products for sale. All artwork derives from the skills each artist brings to the enterprise and every contribution holds real value.

Offering a sense of purpose lies at the heart of ARTHOUSE Meath’s philosophy in line with our belief that feeling truly respected improves health and well-being. We strive to challenge perceptions and to create better acceptance and inclusion for all people living with disabilities.

As we grow we hope to offer more opportunities to people in other towns across the UK. 100% of sales revenue sustains the enterprise, enabling it to expand and evolve.
