Volunteer Drivers
Volunteer Drivers
About the role
We’re looking for friendly and confident drivers to help our clients get out into the community – whether that’s to visit friends and family, a community activity or to keep their all-important hospital and medical appointments.
Who we are
Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) is a disability charity based in Surrey, with national reach.
What you’ll be doing
Volunteer drivers will use QEF vehicles (so no need to use your own car), and full training is provided. You’ll always be accompanied by a member of our staff, who will support the client throughout the journey.
If you’ve never considered this type of volunteering role before, please do. It makes such a valuable contribution to our charity and the lives of our clients. Your pair of hands at the wheel plays a vital role in keeping our clients connected with their community.
What’s in it for you
- Make a genuine difference – help reduce isolation and support independence
- Be part of a supportive, friendly team
- Flexible and rewarding – fit volunteering around your life, not the other way around
- Free training provided and no need to use your own vehicle – we provide QEF cars for all trips
What skills will you need
- Over 25 years old
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Confident, safe driving skills
- Friendly, patient and reliable
What’s the time commitment and where
We are grateful for anytime you have to offer, whether that’s twice a week or once a month, and would love to hear from you.
