School Workshop Helper - updated 13.07.2023
School Workshop Helpers | Volunteer Role
Throughout the year we run school workshops specifically designed to engage children from local schools with Christian festivals; these traditionally take place at:
Advent - November/December
Lent – February
Easter - March/April
Pentecost - May.
Workshops are tailored to the age group of the children and actively engage them in their learning through craft, drama, group discussion and written activities.
We need enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to support the organisation and delivery of these workshops. In particular leading small groups of children (10/15) in activities during these workshops and engaging with the children and their teachers/support staff.

Mission Statement
Guildford Cathedral is the mother church of the Diocese of Guildford, covering 500 square miles of Surrey, North east Hampshire, the London Borough of Kingston and a part of West Sussex. With a seating capacity of 1000, the Cathedral provides both focus and resource for the whole community, a venue for concerts, art and education, a place of pilgrimage, as well as stillness, prayer and daily choral worship.
Volunteers support the work and mission of the cathedral in friendly and convivial surroundings with interesting and like minded colleagues.
