Speech and Language Volunteer
Wanted mainly during Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-2.30pm, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Probably a couple of hours a week, variable opportunity depending on current clients.
Also some 1:1 sessions, or support on our Walking Talking Group or Young Persons Group to assist individuals.
- Conversation practice for adults with brain injury to improve speech and language.
- Volume control, appropriate language, tone, word finding.
- The majority of our clients have had a stroke.
- Some have aphasia.
- Excellent role for a Trainee Speech and Language student and fully qualified persons to gain experience.
