Event Volunteers: Car Parking / Visitor Orientation Stewards

Watts Gallery - Artists’ Village are in need of help with visitor orientation and car parking operations for the following weekend events…

  • Woodland Fairy Fair 20th - 21st July
  • Make Festival 28th - 29th September
  • Celtic Christmas Weekend 30th November - 1st December.

The upcoming Woodland Fairy Fair is our first signature event of the year. It promises to be a fantastic two days of fun activities for those attending, showcasing Watts Gallery - Artists Village’s amazing programme.

The Role:
As Car Park Stewards your primary role will be to greet visitors as they arrive and direct them to the nearest available car park. This is an invaluable role as it helps with visitor orientation as visitors walk around the site, and is key to the promotion of the many activities such as face painting, dance and craft workshops. We have 3 shift times throughout the two days. Each shift includes a briefing by the Duty Manager beforehand where they will go through everything with you, and you will be buddied up with a fellow volunteer as well to assist you on your shift.

Shift times are as follows …

- 10am-12pm, 12-2pm, 2-4pm

- 10am-12pm, 12-2pm, 2-4pm

The Benefits:

  • We will be providing refreshments before and throughout your chosen shift
  • free entry to the site plus one guest for the day
  • Opportunities to gain practical events experience
  • Meeting new people and making a positive contribution to the local community
  • The opportunity to learn more about volunteering at Watts and the chance to become a Watts Volunteer long term.

If you would like volunteer and get involved  at one of our signature events please apply. Any help would be very much appreciated. With further details supplied to those who wish to help.

Kind regards,

Tom Dench-Layton
