Managing our interface with Surrey Arts, state schools andother providers of music educaiton in Surrey
You will be required to attend and contribute to board meetings (about every two months and usually in Guildford)
You will have in-depth experience of music educaiton at primary and/or secondary level. This will probably have been gained through practical experience wither as a school head of music, in a county music service and/or in a music education charity of provider.
Helping financially disadvantaged young people to make music
CKT believes that every young person, regardless of family income, deserves the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument with everything that brings.
We fund music lessons for financially disadvantaged children and young people in Surrey whatever their level of musical development. We fund rock, pop and jazz as well as classical and singing as well as instrumental lessons. We also co-fund group projects in schools with a high level of Pupil Premium. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and have minimal overheads. Our income comes from grants, individual donations and fundraising at events such as gigs, quiz nights.
