Befrienders

We require people to come to our day service centre and talk to our clients and visitors on a one-to-one basis and / or play board games with them.

Also, to attend appointments with our clients; visiting them in their homes, helping them with cleaning and tidying in their homes; helping them with food shopping.

Hours are available at a length and time to suit and would to benefit clients within our day service and vulnerable individuals in their own home.

Where: From Beverley Hall in the centre of Guildford (near Waitrose).

Volunteers should be: aged 18 or over, outgoing, keen to engage with our clients, have some understanding of our clients' needs, have a clean driving licence if driving duties are part of your role.

Reasonable travel expenses will be paid.

Guildford Action is an independent registered charity, which has been working within the local community for over 30 years helping homeless individuals as well as isolated families.

Our mission is to ‘Enhance the lives of all those we come into contact with’. We have seen a massive increase in numbers of those accessing the projects over the past year due to economic climate and social welfare reforms.
