Guildford Cathedral

Guildford Cathedral -Family Fun day Assistant

As part of our engagement activities we run A Family Fun Day 3 or 4 times a year and would greatly appreciate your help .

The aim is to connect with the local community and provide a valuable free resource. Each day will be centred around a theme, proving a mixture of storytelling sessions, crafting events and educational activities.

We hope to attract families with children aged 3-12, with around 100 people at each event. It is intended that the events will become embedded into the Cathedral’s annual programme and will continue beyond the duration of the project.

We need enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to work as a team to support the organisation and delivery of these Family Fun Days and actively engage with children and families.

If you would like to volunteer for this opportunity or require further information please click on the Application Form button  and complete the online form ,and we will be in contact.

Mission Statement

Guildford Cathedral is the mother church of the Diocese of Guildford, covering 500 square miles of Surrey, North east Hampshire, the London Borough of Kingston and a part of West Sussex. With a seating capacity of 1000, the Cathedral provides both focus and resource for the whole community, a venue for concerts, art and education, a place of pilgrimage, as well as stillness, prayer and daily choral worship.

Volunteers support the work and mission of the cathedral in friendly and convivial surroundings with interesting and like minded colleagues.
