Cricket Teas Person
We are looking for someone who enjoys a Saturday afternoon in the sun watching and hearing a bit of leather on willow, but is also happy to make our mid afternoon tea.
The role will suit someone who enjoys a bit of home baking as homemade cakes always go down well with the cricketers. The role is yours to develop as you wish and the responsibility will be solely yours, but there is often someone around to help out - we are a friendly bunch. We can provide training and pass on years of experience too.
We would expect our Teas Person to:
- buy and transport the ingredients to the Clubhouse, so a car is important. There is a budget of £80 per match which should provide a substantial tea, but also cover your electricity and travel expenses.
- Make a tea which might consist of any of the following: of sandwiches (including egg mayo), homemade cakes, crisps, fruit, sausage rolls, pizza, pasta bake etc. There are facilities at the Clubhouse to make the sandwiches.
- Lay the teas out buffet style
- Make the teas and squash
- Clear up afterwards- load the dishwasher (and unload it 45 minutes later), hoover and wipe round the kitchen
Our home ground is Holloway Hill Rec in Busbridge Lane, Godalming and teas are served between about 3.30 and 4.30 depending on the start time (which depends on the time the sun sets!). If you think this is something you could do on a weekly basis from now to September, please get in touch.
