Chair of Management Committee
Chair of the Management Committee overseeing the running of the site and the development of new plans and activities. This is suitable for anyone who is able to work with those running the site while thinking more widely about how we can develop. It is not a hands-on role managing the site so could be suitable for someone still working as well as those who are not. Meetings are in the evening.
The site includes residential facilities, camping, outdoor activities, natural environment, and events. Financial understanding is helpful as well as the ability to look to the longer term.
The role is supported by a team of volunteers as well as Trustees of the charity and a Business Development Officer.
Mission Statement
Girlguiding is the largest organisation for girls and young women in the UK. The aim is to sustain and promote a stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities. These will help girls and young women develop their potential and enable them to play an active role in their community.
