Fundraising Volunteer

The Organisation
LinkAble is a charity in Woking that supports people with a learning disability and autistic people to create the life they want to live. Each year, LinkAble provides over 300 children, young people, and adults access to a wide range of activities that develop skills, confidence, and lasting friendships.
The Role
Help us raise awareness of LinkAble and support our vital fundraising efforts! We're building a team of enthusiastic volunteers to represent LinkAble at local fairs, fetes, and community events. By joining us, you’ll help spread the word about our work while raising much-needed funds.
Key Tasks
Tasks for volunteers will include any or some the following:
• Setting up and running promotional stalls.
• Holding a tin or bucket at a collection.
• Engaging with members of the public to help promote our services.
• Talks to local groups about our services.
• Serving tea, coffee and cakes at local events.
• Basic administration duties for event organisation.
We'll supply promotional T-shirts and materials. We don't expect you to commit to all events, however attendance of a handful of events would make such a difference, and it's really fun! Once you are on the bank of volunteers, we'll contact you regularly to let you know about events we need help with.

• Personable manner with good verbal communication skills.

Location
Our office is located 2 Board School Road, Woking GU21. A short walk from the town centre. Limited parking available. Please note that our offices do have some stairs.
