DIYer or Carpenter - Monthly Saturdays

Do you love tinkering, mending and making things, a bit of DIY or carpentry? Would you be happy to show people how to make repairs to their own items?

Repair café is an international movement, which helps people to repair and reuse domestic items to avoid waste, learn valuable skills and save money.

If you can spare a two hours a month to help at the Repair café events, we are looking for all sorts of repairers, including DIYers and carpenters, to guide, teach and share their skills with the local community.

Ideally you will have an ability to mend and maintain a wide range of objects. You will be identifying faults and deciding what repairs or maintenance are needed. You will need to be thorough and pay attention to detail. The Repair Café is well supported by Guildford Borough Council who provide a range of tools and equipment.

If you are passionate about DIY and feel you fit the description, then the Repair Café could be a great volunteer opportunity for you. The Repair Café is held 10am-12midday on one Saturday per month. For more information or to volunteer please fill in the short application form. We look forward to welcoming you on board!
