Volunteer Group Leader (Surrey) – Compassion in World Farming

Are you an animal lover passionate improving the lives of farm animals? Do you want to meet like minded individuals and together campaign against factory farming and fund-raise for change? Do you live in Surrey? This may be the volunteer role for you!

Compassion in World Farming was founded 50 years ago in 1967 by a British farmer who became horrified by the development of modern, intensive factory farming.

Today we campaign peacefully to end all factory farming practices. We believe that the biggest cause of cruelty on the planet deserves a focused, specialised approach – so we are relentlessly focused on ending factory farming.

Why do we need you?

We need a passionate, enthusiastic and committed individual to run our fantastic Compassion in Surrey volunteer group.

Whether you are an experienced fundraiser or if you have never done anything like this before, we will support you and your group every step of the way!

The reason we decided to start forming local groups was to create a support structure for our volunteers. Bringing people together in local areas helps form tight knit support groups and forges relations with like-minded people in local communities.

  • Lobbying your MP and other political decision-makers
  • Conducting talks in schools, clubs etc. (We offer free no-obligation training)
  • Campaigning against factory farm planning applications

  • Experience of volunteering for an International charity
  • We will reimburse you for all pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses in accordance with our Expenses Policy

What are we looking for?

  • Must have a passion for farm animal welfare
  • Someone friendly and approachable with good people skills
