Guildford Action

Come and help us run our groups

We need people to help us run our groups for our clients.

Typically, they run for an hour each week, with the topic updated regularly.

Therefore, we are always looking for suggestions and ideas for new groups to run, and the people to co-ordinate them.

Current groups include: bingo, mindfulness, arts and crafts, games, going to the gym, swimming and the cinema.

Groups and activities we would like to set up include: creative writing, thai chi, relaxation, yoga, a choir, five-a-side football, netball, or other suggestions.

Hours are available at a length and time to suit.

Where: Beverley Hall in the centre of Guildford (near Waitrose).

Volunteers should be: aged 18 or over, outgoing, keen to engage with our clients, and have some understanding of our clients' needs.

Reasonable travel expenses will be paid.

Guildford Action is an independent registered charity, which has been working within the local community for over 30 years helping homeless individuals as well as isolated families.

Our mission is to ‘Enhance the lives of all those we come into contact with’. We have seen a massive increase in numbers of those accessing the projects over the past year due to economic climate and social welfare reforms.
