Volunteer to make a difference to young children's lives

Do you have some time to give and would be interested in being part of a friendly team?

We are a Local Academy Governing body looking for an enthusiastic, inquisitive person with good inter-personal skills to help us shape the strategic direction of our school.  We look for a range of different professions, skills and experience and share a common interest in wanting the best possible education for the children in our school.

We are a thriving, friendly school with around 450 children ranging from the ages of 4-11, that promotes an ambition for all our children to be the best that they can be and have an excellent start in their educational journey.

The governing body meets twice each term, within the working day, and governors are encouraged to make termly school visits, plus any other events you may wish to attend. Full training opportunities are available and encouraged.

If you're tempted and would like to know more about how valued you could be, please click on “fill in an application form” button and Mrs Alex Cooke, Chair of Governors will contact you.

We very much look forward to chatting with you

Location: Guildford/Woking area

Mission Statement

We believe in the importance of children engaging, enriching and excelling at school.  This allows them to make the best progress they can, both academically and in their learning about themselves and their relationships, making a positive difference in their community and the world in which they live.

The school builds on the qualities and skills which parents have fostered in their child at home.  From the beginning, staff and governors aim to create a caring and disciplined environment in which each child’s well-being is valued and where they are viewed as an individual.

We aim to provide the highest quality of education for all our children, in an environment that is challenging, motivating, caring and moral, where children can acquire the skills and knowledge appropriate to their individual needs through the delivery of a creative curriculum.  Through our pledge we strive to provide a range of exciting learning and life experiences.

We help all children to grow emotionally and to learn that courtesy, excellent manners, first class behaviour, consideration and respect for others are very important qualities.  We hope all our children become happy, responsible and independent young people.
