Community Engagement Partners (Posted 4th January 2024)
We are looking for several motivated individuals to join our team of
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PARTNERS
You will meet clients out in their communities to understand the issues they face on a day-to-day basis and will be key contributors to helping us to better understand the needs of our more disadvantaged and isolated communities, so that we can provide them with the right support and information.
You will work with our Research and Campaigns Group to undertake research through surveys and small group discussions to provide us with the data we need to provide alternative approaches to community engagement. You will be a contributor to delivering a range of initiatives including the promotion of our services, providing training and education to clients and organizing community events. You will also contribute to potentially shaping new initiatives/ services that will help these communities the most.
If you can give us at least one day a week of your time and have excellent people skills, we would love to hear from you. Full training will be given.
You must, however, have a clean driver’s license and use of a car to fulfill this role as you will need to be able to work from multiple locations across Waverley with a base at either Farnham, Godalming, Haslemere or Cranleigh offices
Mission Statement
We help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.
We have a town centre location in Haydon Place, Guildford, offering a telephone, and appointment service five days a week.
We use the information we gather carrying out this work to campaign for social justice, so that individuals do not suffer through a lack of knowledge or an inability to express them selves effectively.
We provide an increasingly vital front-line service for those in the greatest need in our local community.
The benefits of our work are not limited to improving our clients’ financial situation but also contribute to improving their health, reducing their stress and improving their confidence in dealing with their own problems.
