Counselling Volunteer
Recruiting for Volunteer Counsellors for Guildford RASASC (Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre)
We are currently recruiting for qualified counsellors (BACP registered or equivalent) to work on a voluntary basis with survivors of rape and sexual abuse. We are very keen to welcome new volunteer counsellors to our service, as we are growing our service to meet new needs amongst our clients.
We are looking for:
- both experienced and newly-qualified counsellors
- counsellors able to work face to face and/or remotely (via telephone and video)
Who are BACP registered or equivalent, and will work on a voluntary basis with survivors of rape and sexual abuse in Surrey, offering long- and short-term one-to-one work with clients.
In return, we offer free group supervision (3-weekly), six free trauma-related training workshops per year, travel expenses (if/when applicable), and membership of a team of mutually-supportive counsellors, supervisors and a small RASASC organisational network, who are passionate about the work (with occasional social gatherings!).
Job Types: Part-time, Volunteer
Part-time hours: 3 per week
