Respite Foster
Purpose
Respite fosters provide service dogs in training the opportunity to experience new environments outside the kennels over the weekend or provide care after a medical event or surgery. Fosters are supplied with everything needed for the dog during their foster period.
Schedule
- Weekend Fosters: Friday - Monday
- Pick-up time between 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Drop-off time between 7 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- Medical Respite: As Needed
Qualifications
- Must be capable of handling a service dog in training that can weigh up to 90 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be willing to travel to CFS facility for pick-up/drop-odd as needed.
