Puppy Foster
Purpose
A volunteer Puppy Raiser works in collaboration with the Puppy Program Manager to assist in caring for and preparing a puppy for their life as a service dog. All supplies will be provided and a training curriculum must be followed.
Schedule
- 3 - 6 month commitment.
- Weekly training classes on either Tuesday or Thursday nights from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Qualifications
- Must be capable of handling a service dog in training that can vary in age from 8 weeks to 6 months.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be willing to travel to CFS facility to pick-up/drop-off and attend puppy classes as needed.
