Concour d'Art oratoire - Concour Set-up & Tear Down
Summary: The volunteer will perform a variety of tasks pertaining to the setup and tear down among other tasks as assigned by the event staff. This position helps to extend the resources in Canadian Parents for French Nova Scotia to better assist and direct the needs of our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting patrons and answering questions
- Directing patrons to the correct areas
- Set up / Tear down of signage, posters, banners, etc..
- ensuring water bottles are in each presentation room
- ensuring hallways are clear and quiet during presentations
- ensure each room is not in need of anything
- Supply Runner
Requirements
- Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
- Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted (cases of water bottles)
- Bilingual is an asset but not required
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as per Public Health guidelines
Training & Supervision
- General volunteer training and onboarding provided virtually
- Online orientation must be completed prior to the event
- Supervision conducted by: Stacy Nadeau
Time Commitment
- 2-6 hours
