Tutoring or Classroom Assistance
Many children with behavioral and emotional disabilities also need help cultivating positive study patterns and classroom focus. Volunteers can work one-on-one with a child or, as part of a special education classroom, lending support to one of our teachers.
- Help children at our residential center with homework after school. No need to be a whiz; one-on-one encouragement is often all that's needed.
- Volunteer at our Pre-Vocational Center, helping children engage with life skills lessons, including cooking, woodworking, sewing, and gardening. Masters and novices welcome! Share your skills or learn some new ones yourself!
