Youth Behavioral Health Programs and Safe Streets

Tutoring or Classroom Assistance

Tutoring or Classroom Assistance

Many children with behavioral and emotional disabilities also need help cultivating positive study patterns and classroom focus. Volunteers can work one-on-one with a child or, as part of a special education classroom, lending support to one of our teachers.

  • Help children at our residential center with homework after school. No need to be a whiz; one-on-one encouragement is often all that's needed.
  • Volunteer at our Pre-Vocational Center in our Earth Science class and help children engage with the environment. Many lessons take place outdoors, in the pavilion, or in the greenhouse. Masters and novice ecologist are welcome!
