Events at the Zoo
The Valley Zoo offers its guests special events throughout the year. Get involved to help out at our functions like Easter events, Mothers' Day, Canada Day, Halloween Boo at the Zoo, and Zoominesence throughout the winter months.
These opportunities usually involve crafting assistants, fire pit attendants, activity station helpers, photo booth assistants, and more!
**Please note that volunteers do not have direct contact with the Zoo's animal residents
How to Get Involved

PLEASE NOTE: Group volunteer opportunities are not currently being booked as the program is currently under review.
| ELIGIBILITY |
- Ages 13+ for Special Event Volunteers
- Individuals under the age of 12 can volunteer with a parent or guardian
- Ages 15+ for Visitor Experience Ambassadors

- Volunteer positions may require a Police Records Check
- Some positions may also require an interview or reference checks or a Police Information Check. You will be contacted if any of the above are necessary.
- You will be invited to attend our New Volunteer Orientation
