Transport Driver

 

 

  • Support people to stay healthy and active by connecting them to social and wellbeing activities in their local community and beyond

     

  • Use your impeccable driving skills to provide transport services to eligible Hills residents

     

  • Woodside location with travel through the Hills and surrounding areas, minimum 10 hours per month between Monday to Friday and the occasional evening and Saturday

 

The role

 

Volunteer Drivers assist in providing transport services to social and wellbeing activities to eligible residents in the Hills as part of Hills Home and Community Support program. Outings may include mystery trips, shopping shuttles, theatre shows, walking groups and some programs that are held at Woodside. Volunteer drivers are required to complete regular training in First Aid, Manual Handling and Driver Evaluation. In addition, volunteer drivers will need to apply for a Driver Accreditation through The Department of Transport. The cost is covered by Adelaide Hills Council. 

 

About you

 

Key to success in this role is your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with a broad range of people and work collaboratively, along with holding a clean Full Driver’s License and ability to confidently drive a 12 seater bus or Toyota Tarago.
