Cozby Library and Community Commons
The Cozby Library has a very limited number of volunteer opportunities for adults.
Do you enjoy working with small children? Storytime volunteers help children stay focused, keep their bottoms on the floor, and enjoy storytime! You also get to sing-along to sons and help with the craft at the end. Multiple opportunities each month.
Program assistance involves setting up and cleaning up for a specific program. During the program, you may be assisting an adult, teen, or child completely an activity. For events you may be asked to work a station that has a craft, game, or activity. You may help with distributing food or prizes. Volunteers also help with greeting attendees and directing foot traffic. These events typically occur on weekends and evenings.
Have an idea for a program?
The library occasionally partners with community members to add new programs to the calendar. If you have a talent you would like to share and are interested in leading a program, you can contact the library to discuss your idea.
Friends of the Coppell Public Library
The Friends of the Coppell Library are a non-profit support group independent of the library and the City of Coppell. They organize book sales, events, and fundraising activities to support the mission of the Cozby Library and Community Commons. This is a great way to become more involved in the local community. If you are interested in joining the Friends you must contact them directly: http://www.coppellfriends.org/
