We are looking for an Administrative Assistant
Apply today to become a part of the friendly team in our Larkfield Distribution Centre. The Distribution Centre ensures our many shops are filled with good quality items to raise vital funds for Demelza. In this role you will be supporting the Retail Administration team.
Role/Duties/Responsibilities:
· Carrying out general administrative duties
· Responding to donor enquiries and making outbound telephone calls
· Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
· Processing documents using Word and Excel
· Maintaining and updating lists and records
· Scanning documents
· Sending and managing emails
· Supporting the maintenance and accuracy of the Retail Gift Aid database using the EPOS system (training provided)
· Ensuring high standards of office organisation and presentation
Skills & Qualities
· Highly motivated with strong organisational skills
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
· Confident in using email and conducting online research
· Demonstrates effective communication skills, with a professional and friendly telephone manner
· Able to follow instructions and work under supervision
· Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of the Trading team
· Aware of and compliant with Health & Safety requirements within the workplace
Reports to: Retail Administrator
Time Commitment: We are looking for volunteers to help Mon-Thu 9am – 2pm, if you are available within these times, please get in touch.
Training & Support: You will be given a Volunteer Handbook, which covers mandatory training such as Moving & Handling, Fire Training, Data Protection and Safeguarding. In addition, you will complete an induction with your line manager. Specific, specialist training, such as Retail Gift Aid, will be provided where appropriate/relevant to the area you will be assigned to. Ongoing support is available to volunteers through their line manager and voluntary services.
