Maidstone Trading Hub Volunteer

How you can get involved

Apply today to become a part of the friendly team in our Maidstone Trading Hub.

Last year, the Demelza trading team raised an incredible £2.65 million to help fund our cause. This amount would have been absolutely impossible to achieve without the generosity of our dedicated volunteers.

There are many different roles undertaken in the Hub to ensure our many shops are filled with good quality items to raise vital funds for Demelza.  From sorting donations, picking stock, eBay sales and assisting our van drivers with their collections and deliveries.

We also have a dedicated volunteers that sort all donated books and CDs and upload these onto online sales platforms as well as packing them for our stores. If you were interested in this role have a look at the e-commerce vacancy for sorting books and media.

What you will gain from volunteering

  • A chance to meet new people and make new friends
  • The time to develop new skills, take on new challenges and enjoy new experiences
  • A rewarding opportunity to make an invaluable contribution by helping Demelza support children with serious and terminal conditions and their loved ones

Why volunteer for Demelza

Demelza provides specialist care and emotional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, completely free of charge to those who are in need throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex. We help with every element of life for children with serious and terminal conditions. We get to know each and every child, young person and family we work with to ensure they receive a care plan as unique as they are.

Demelza could not achieve this high quality service without the volunteers who give their time, energy and dedication. Over 1,000 volunteers give their time across all areas of the charity and we would be incredibly grateful for you to join our team of volunteers. Together with your support, we will be there to bring joy, fun and relaxation to the lives of every child and family that needs our help.
