How you can get involved

Apply today and become a part of the friendly team in our Sittingbourne charity shop.

Could you lend a helping hand and give your time to sorting donated goods and uncovering hidden treasures?

Last year, our Demelza charity shops raised an incredible £2.65 million to help fund our cause. This amount would have been absolutely impossible to achieve without the generosity of our dedicated volunteers.

Any time you can give no matter how big or small will be much appreciated. With your help, you can truly make a huge difference.

Our shops are a treasure trove filled with quality goods and hidden gems just waiting to be found. With every item sold, we can continue to provide support for the many children and families within our care.

What you will gain from volunteering

  • A chance to meet new people and make new friends
  • The time to develop new skills, take on new challenges and enjoy new experiences
  • A rewarding opportunity to make an invaluable contribution by helping Demelza support children with serious and terminal conditions and their loved ones

Why volunteer for Demelza

Demelza provides specialist care and emotional support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, completely free of charge to those who are in need throughout Kent, South East London and East Sussex. We help with every element of life for children with serious and terminal conditions. We get to know each and every child, young person and family we work with to ensure they receive a care plan as unique as they are.

Demelza could not achieve this high quality service without the volunteers who give their time, energy and dedication. Over 1,000 volunteers give their time across all areas of the charity and we would be incredibly grateful for you to join our team of volunteers. Together with your support, we will be there to bring joy, fun and relaxation to the lives of every child and family that needs our help.
