Better Block Clean Up

Better Block Clean Up
Join us for a half-day volunteer event focused on refreshing and beautifying the Better Block project space ahead of final programming. Volunteers will participate in hands-on placemaking activities that enhance the space’s appearance and community impact.

Location: 119 Brooks St, Sugar Land, TX 77478
When: Saturday, March 14
Shifts:

  • 8:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (14 volunteers needed)
  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (14 volunteers needed)
    Volunteers may sign up for both shifts.

Volunteer duties may include: 
Light painting touch-ups, mulching and garden prep, filling raised beds, mural repainting, general site clean-up, and assisting with supervised projects such as bike rack assembly or garden bed placement.

Tasks will be performed outdoors. Please dress weather appropriate with closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty. Volunteers are encouraged to bring sunscreen and a reusable water bottle. Tools and materials will be provided.
