Mental Health Programs

We work alongside people experiencing long-term mental illness work with us to develop a recovery plan, build skills and confidence and achieve their goals.

Through Lifeline, we provide counselling for people experiencing personal crisis. Lifeline centres across the country are run by not-for-profit community service organisations like us. We run the largest centre in Victoria and Tasmania out of Melbourne, as well as a regional centre in Ballarat.

We provide vital community mental health support services such the Voices Vic network support group, 101 St Kilda Engagement Hub and peer support groups.

Uniting is a child safe organisation and is committed in everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, at all times. As a ‘child safe’ organisation, volunteering with Uniting is subject to a satisfactory national (and international where relevant) police check and Working With Children Check (in Victoria) and/or Working With Vulnerable People Check (in Tasmania) prior to commencement in any service or undertaking.
