Neighbourhood Cooks – Moreland
Meals Sharing Program
Neighbourhood Cooks Moreland (formerly Casserole Club)
Neighbourhood Cooks Moreland helps people share extra portions of home-cooked food with others in their area who are not always able to cook for themselves.
Moreland City Council is one of only three Councils selected to be part of the program, a Victorian local government trial and are working in partnership with Uniting.
We are currently recruiting both cooks and diners in Moreland.
You can choose to cook at a time that is convenient, as a one-off or on a regular basis.
After joining, a cook and diner who live close to each other and enjoy the same types of food will be connected.
All cooks that take part will be required to complete a brief food hygiene quiz.
Uniting is a child safe organisation and is committed in everyday practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, at all times. As a ‘child safe’ organisation, volunteering with Uniting is subject to a satisfactory national (and international where relevant) police check and Working With Children Check (in Victoria) and/or Working With Vulnerable People Check (in Tasmania) prior to commencement in any service or undertaking.
