The Wendouree Uniting Op Shop has so much to offer – what starts as small space filled with quality clothing and books opens to huge collection of accessories, bric-a-brac, toys and furniture. There is always something new and different to discover in this family-friendly space, especially with a team who are focused on creatively and fun  we would love for you to join us! 

Our aim is to delight customers in a meaningful and memorable way in a contemporary retail environment that is creative, inclusive and fun! From creating a vibrant and dynamic space using imaginative displays to serving and assisting customers, working behind the scenes with sorting and tagging stock there is always so much fun to be had at Uniting Op Shops.

Who can volunteer? 

Everyone is welcome! Our volunteer roles are open to people from all walks of life, including: 

  • Centrelink volunteers: Meet your requirements while making a difference. 

  • People learning English: Practice language skills in a friendly, supportive environment. 

  • People with a disability: We provide support and accommodations to ensure everyone can participate. 

What you’ll need to volunteer 

To ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, we ask volunteers to complete: 

  • National Police Check: A quick background check for peace of mind. 

  • Working With Children (WWCC) / Working With Vulnerable People Check (WWVP): Depending on your role and location. 

  • Reference Check: Just one or two references to confirm your suitability.
