Hartley's Meals - Prahran

A warm welcome when someone needs it .

Hartley’s Meals located in Prahran has been serving weekday lunches for more than thirty years with volunteers serving thousands of meals a year. Hartley’s is operated by experienced chefs, volunteers, and participants from our services.

Hartley’s aims to provide:

  • a supportive and welcoming environment to all, but particularly those in the community who may be living with complex needs including mental illness, economic disadvantage, social isolation, loneliness or disadvantage
  • nutritious, low cost meals.

With the doors open during the week, volunteering with is flexible and rewarding. If you have 4 hours a month to spare and a passion to make an impact in the lives of people we support, by creating a place for people to feel safe, to belong, and to connect. We would like you to join our dedicated team

 

A typical lunch menu has soup, two choices of main meal (with vegetarian options always available) plus a dessert. Free bread and salad is provided – when possible – with the purchase of a main meal. The menu changes every day, and main meals cost $4.00. Holders of a valid and current Centrelink concession card are entitled to three free main meals a month*.

 

Opening hours Monday to Friday, serving lunch from 11.00am to 2.00pm
