‘Help when you can’ Volunteering

 

This is a new exciting new opportunity for people who want to volunteer but unfortunately cannot always donate time on a regular or set day basis, do you have a different day off work each week? Looking to volunteer over your school holidays? You want to volunteer with a friend or family member at the same time? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this maybe the role for you

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • This will differ as it will be dependant on your availability, generally you will be helping out with anything that needs doing, this can be from cat caring, gardening to helping with events

 

  •  Work alongside our team  to further develop the project

 

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Happy to work on a computer and use our databases, also to do any online training that is required
  • Organised and motivated
  • Happy to work with others
  • Friendly and approachable manner
  • Willingness to learn about the work of Blue Cross
  • Willingness to follow H&S policies and procedures for  the activity

Time commitment: Flexible to suit you – Generally volunteering would happen during work hours (Including on weekends)

 

If you would like to get more involved with volunteering with the cats we do need a more regular commitment, although it can be short term (minimum of 4 weeks) you must have quite abit of free time over this period, this is because there is training manuals that have to be completed in this time

 

Please note we cannot take volunteers under the age of 16 years
