Newport Rehoming and Advice Unit



Do you hold a full valid driving licence and enjoy driving? Would you like to help our unwanted pets find homes more quickly? Your local Blue Cross Rehoming and Advice Unit is looking for reliable volunteers to help us transport animals between our centres, vets, foster homes and kennels and speed up the rehoming process.


What you will be doing:

  • Driving a Blue Cross van 
  • Transporting animals between kennels, centres, foster homes and the vets
  • Moving animals in and out of the vehicle
  • Ensuring the welfare of the animals being transported

What we are looking for:

  • Full current driving licence
  • Confident driver
  • Regular commitment and reliability
  • Experience of handling animals
  • Ability to work in a team or alone
  • Willingness to learn and follow Blue Cross procedures
  • All our drivers will have a confidential driving licence check by a company called Intelligent Data Systems on behalf of Blue Cross
