Bush regeneration volunteers help restore endangered flora in Centennial Parklands - the Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub. It is a statutory Requirement to maintain ESBS remnants within the Parklands. This volunteer program began in 2004 and has involved the regeneration of three remnants of this critically endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub, which has less than 3% of the original community remaining.
The team has been assisting professional bush regenerators and staff with a range of tasks including manual weed removal, removal of dead or fallen trees and rubbish removal.
Day / time : once Sunday a month from 9am to 12noon.
The program is conducted monthly and is suitable for volunteers who are fit and have an interest in plants and the environment.
