Friends of Borenore Karst Conservation Reserve

Borenore Karst Conservation Reserve

Known to many locally as Borenore Caves, this Karst (limestone/calcium carbonate) system is a great example of both protecting land based species of Flora, Fauna and Fungi and showcasing a rare network of caves which harbour unique cave dwelling species and histories spanning millions of years. The arch cave and Tunnel cave are very important places to the local Wiradjuri people and have been a popular destination for locals since colonisation. Over the years there have been a few invasive weeds coming into the reserve and some graffiti and litter; The Friends of Borenore Karst would like your help.
