Fun Fridays Volunteer
Summary:
The Fun Fridays Volunteer position is specifically intended for volunteers aged 14 - 18 years old, providing an avenue for youth leadership, community involvement, and a greater level of staff supervision for training and skill development. This position also supports a specific program during a specific time period: 11:30am - 2:30pm each Friday from June 26 - August 28. Volunteers outside this age range or availability are encouraged to apply for Library Volunteer or Teen Volunteer as applies.
Fun Fridays are a cooperative program between the Darrington Library and the Darrington Food Bank to bring fun and food resources to youth in our community at Old School Park. Fun Fridays Volunteers will enrich these programs by introducing children and families to pre-arranged activities, refereeing games, and contributing to a fun and uplifting experience. Volunteers will serve alongside 1-2 Library Staff who will have a plan for each event, providing clear guidance on what the Volunteer will be contributing to.
